Recepti privacy policy

Recepti is a recipe-saving app developed by Tamara Martinović ("we", "us"). This page explains what data the app collects, why, and how you can remove it.

What we collect

• Account information. If you create an account, we collect your email address (via Supabase Auth) to let you sign in. You can also use the app without an account — you'll get an anonymous session with no personal information attached.
• Recipe content. The links, text, screenshots, and videos you submit to import a recipe, and the recipe data that results (title, ingredients, steps, images, and similar).
• Basic technical data. Standard request metadata (like IP address) is processed transiently by our hosting and AI providers to serve requests; we don't build profiles from it.

How recipe imports are processed

To turn a link, screenshot, or video into a structured recipe, the content you submit is sent to the following processors:

• Google Gemini — reads and structures recipe content from text, images, or video frames, and handles translation and unit conversion.
• Groq — transcribes audio from video imports (speech-to-text) so it can be structured into a recipe.
• When you import from a public link (TikTok, YouTube, Instagram, or a recipe website), our backend fetches the publicly available page or media directly from that platform to extract the recipe.

These providers process the content only to fulfil your import request — we don't use it to train our own models, and we don't sell any of your data.

Where data is stored

Your account, saved recipes, and any uploaded images or import files are stored using Supabase (database, authentication, and file storage). Access to your data is restricted to your own account.

Deleting your data

You can permanently delete your account and all associated data — saved recipes, uploaded files, and preferences — at any time:

• In the app: Settings → Delete account and all data.
• Without the app installed: use the account deletion page (sign in with your email and password).

Deletion is immediate and can't be undone. If you only ever used an anonymous session and never set a password, contact us below and we'll process the deletion manually once we've verified you.

Children's privacy

Recepti is not directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect personal information from them.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, we'll update the date at the top of this page.
